CRD Material Flow Analysis

December 2022

Earlier this year, SUMMIT72 worked with Dillon Consulting and Metabolic on a project to identify circular economy opportunities for the construction, renovation and demolition (CRD) sectors.

Through data gathering and analytical support, we contributed to the development of practical solutions that can help reduce waste, increase resource efficiency, and drive economic growth.

SUMMIT72 is proud to have been a part of this important project that will help to pave the way for a more sustainable and resilient future for the CRD sectors.

Harvest Sky Agricultural Center

April 2022

Thank you to everyone that came out to the Harvest Sky Region Town Hall where we presented the results of the recently completed Agricultural Center Business Case.

The Business Case incorporates initiatives proposed by local residents and identifies ways to harness the region’s agricultural strengths and generate long-term sustainable economic benefits. This is an exciting opportunity for the Harvest Sky Region, and we believe that the Agricultural Center has the potential to bring significant economic and social benefits to the community.

We were pleased to see such a strong turnout at the Town Hall, and we appreciate the feedback and support that we received from local residents. We look forward to working with the community to make the Agricultural Center a reality. Thank you again for your participation and support.

Economic Impact of Agriculture in Ontario's Greenbelt Region

March 2022

SUMMIT72 has completed a significant economic impact assessment of the agricultural sector in Ontario's Greenbelt Region. One of the key findings of the study is that the Greenbelt's agri-food sector generated an estimated $4.1 billion in GDP and almost 59,000 jobs in 2020. These numbers demonstrate the significant economic contributions of the agricultural sector in the Greenbelt, and highlight the importance of this industry to the region's economy.

The study also identified a number of opportunities for growth and expansion in the Greenbelt's agricultural sector. This includes the potential for increased production and sale of local food, as well as the development of new technologies and practices that can support sustainable and resilient agriculture. Overall, the economic impact assessment provides valuable insights into the contributions and potential of the Greenbelt's agricultural sector, and will help to inform future decisions and strategies within the region.
